Food heaven

I've had the best of time this past few days. Being back in Kuching is the first plus, then there's the FOOD~~~ 

Last Thursday, I had Lasagna. At Pete's Corner with my third auntie. It's good. And I love the mushroom soup. It's so different from what we usually have, more creamy and strong.

Last Saturday, I went to a new cafe, Jing Si Books and Cafe with fishy and odie. The atmosphere is quiet and peaceful and the perfect place to enjoy a book along with a cup of tea. ^^That night, I tried out another new place, Simplitious. I love the grilled chicken, it's so juicy! And the mashed potato is great!

Last Sunday, I went to Bla, bla, bla... with my cousin, sis, aunt and grandma. That's asian cuisine. It's great and taste delicious. Egg floss fish, salted squid, Tofu with assorted seafood and Roasted duck with mango salad(from The Junk). Yummy~~~

Today, I went to Yu Garden Crystal Grill and Steamboat. Hmmm... I'm so full. It's buffet all you can eat style. With choices of chicken, beef and lamb marinated. Or squid, clam, fish and other seafood. There's all types of frozen food for the steamboat and you can have both tom yam and chicken soup. After that there's ice cream and ice kacang.. Heavenly~~~ It's really nice!

This coming Wednesday, I'm having dinner with third auntie, granny and mum. At Batu lintang. Gonna have the oyster omelet and roasted chicken that's one of my fav.

This coming Thursday is dinner at The Dyak with godmum, aunt, gran and sis. That's something I'm looking forward to as it's all tradisional Dayak food. I've never tried before.

Then Sunday is steamboat with a bunch of couz and sis and aunt at D11. A new place behind Hornbill. Wow! My schedule is so full. No wonder I have a feeling I'm putting on weight. XP

The Hunger Games

I just finished the trilogy. The Hunger Games, Catching Fire, Mockingjay. It's good. No, it's great! I <3 it. My feeling are still in turmoil for it.. >< Havent seen the movie yet, but wish to soon. I don't regret one bit about buying the book. ^^

"Beware of spoilers ahead" It's heartening, the twist and turns of events. And I really pity Katniss. It's difficult for her. I like the ending a lot. It's the best possible way to end the story. Gale and Peeta are a hard choice for her but really, I found Gale too violent. He isn't right for her with his hatred and lack of compassion. Peeta would be a better choice and you can see he is good for her.

I really hate that Prim has to die... But if she didn't the story won't be able to continue. Still, Katniss loves her and it's hard. But overall, I can't decide who I hate most, President Snow or Coin. They are so manipulative. Thank goodness they are both killed..

The story is still on my mind.. Until i find another good book, this will probably be on my mind. I think, overall, I'd rate it 8/10! ^^ It's a nice change from what I've read. Magic from Harry Potter, vampire and warewolf from twilight, aliens from I am Number 4, future detective + romance from the in death series, regency romance from Stephanie Laurens and Julia Quinn and many more... This is new, future+ near extinction of mankind, technology that is advanced yet poor in some parts... A new kind of book for me..
